When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I vividly remember how badly I wanted to have a younger sibling as a child. Watching my friends’ moms come to pick them up from preschool with their little brothers and sisters made me envious, and I longed for a sibling of my own. However, my wish was granted soon after when my parents brought home my baby sister, and I was thrilled beyond words.
Being a big sister has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It has taught me the importance of responsibility and the value of having a built-in best friend. I have cherished every moment of watching my sister grow up, and it has been incredible to see her develop into a person with unique interests and passions.
Aside from my sister, being a big sister has also taught me how to be a sister to my other girlfriends. I have learned how to navigate the challenges of being a role model and be a supportive friend when they need me. Overall, it has been a privilege to be a big sister and an honor to have the opportunity to help shape the lives of those around me.
