Being Open Minded.

Daily writing prompt
What are you good at?

Growing up in religious settings can lead to different paths. It can turn you into a devout believer, deeply rooted in doctrine, or cause you to walk away entirely. For me, it resulted in a commitment to being open-minded.

I realized early on that there are always multiple sides to any story. There are different perspectives, hidden layers, and blind spots we might not even recognize. This awareness taught me that certainty is often an illusion and that true wisdom comes from being able to hold multiple truths simultaneously.

Over time, I began to understand the limitations of what we often call “free will.” This understanding wasn’t abstract or philosophical; it was deeply personal, gained through observing how our choices are influenced by upbringing, trauma, culture, and subconscious patterns. This realization humbled me.

As a result, I always kept my mind open. I chose to stay curious, to question with compassion, and to allow myself to evolve.
