Philosophy, Chaos, and a Dinner Invitation

Daily writing prompt
If you could have dinner with any philosopher, who would it be?

I don’t have a clear answer for this! Also, are we limited to just one philosopher, or can I invite as many as I want?

For me, it’s a tie between Friedrich Nietzsche and Immanuel Kant, and for very different reasons, of course. Honestly, I would love to have both of them at the same dinner table; that would be incredibly interesting!

However, I’m pretty sure that halfway through dinner, they would end up debating each other so intensely that I would be completely forgotten. And maybe that would provide the greatest entertainment of all.

I know I’m supposed to give a profound explanation for my choices. Still, as I think about Nietzsche’s criticisms of Kant, especially his views on morality and the idea that Kant was “smuggling Christianity” into philosophy, my thoughts drift somewhere else entirely. I realize that simply watching those two interact would probably be unforgettable enough on its own.
