Counting Standards

Isn’t that funny that the same people who are shaming Chloe Bailey for taking part of the Bussit Challenge are also praising Trey Song for his “leaked” videos?…. yeppppp buckle up, we’re going there.

One thing that I don’t do is arguing with people for their beliefs, but I will respectfully let you know that facts and opinions are totally different things. I will also state the actual facts, still respectfully….. With that being said, there is noting more upsetting than someone using their knowledge to voluntarily mislead others. Also, the larger their platforms, the bigger the damage they can cause! Think about an “influencer” with thousands of followers spreading lies for clout! Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t like to read for themselves and don’t even think about checking what the actual facts might be. Too much effort, I guess 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️…

In a lot of religious community, women are taught to dress modestly, not to please the Higher Power, but to prevent men from failing! From preventing grown men who are sometimes in position of leadership to turn away from the right path. Excuse me????!!!!! So are men creatures with no will or able to control themselves? Why is it the responsibility of female teenagers who do not even understand their own sexuality sometimes, to be in charge of grown men reactions? Let that sink in for a minute….. and tell me why such expectations are placed upon women while men are excused for a lot they choose to do.

One day we’ll have a special conversation about middle aged women who are body shaming younger ones…. while raising sons…. but not today. Let’s focus on the fact that our society will not evolve by itself. So what are you willing to do besides holding yourself accountable? Because, it starts at home… We have nourishing (unconsciously sometimes) so many “beliefs” about how to be and how to live, that checking up on ourselves on a regular basis is crucial to stay connected to reality. I don’t know how many times I have realized that some of the things I used to say, think or do are simply not acceptable. Once you can do this work, you can reset some buttons and grow up in a way. It is difficult of course, even excruciating at times, but necessary as it is.

PS: it’s 2021, moisturizer, lotion, sunscreen are gender free…. you have no excuse to be ashy…
