Let’s take a moment to delve into an important issue: the selection of languages utilized throughout this blog. Over the past few years, I’ve received considerable feedback regarding this matter. Many readers desire a more consistent approach—why not settle on one language and maintain it throughout the posts? Additionally, I’ve heard concerns about accessibility for those who might struggle with the language choices employed in specific articles. It’s crucial to consider how these decisions impact the understanding and engagement of all readers.
I have been writing for many years. I created this blog mainly to help cope with my anxiety during the pandemic. At that time, I had more questions about my life than answers. I feel lucky to have received so much support, and I’m grateful that my words resonated with many people worldwide.
The straightforward response to my language journey is that I am multilingual, and aspire to expand my linguistic repertoire further in the upcoming years. Restricting myself to just one language would limit my expression and hinder my ability to connect with diverse communities. By seamlessly transitioning between French and English, I can engage a broader audience across the globe, fostering richer interactions and exchanges.
My blog also features translation tools that have proven invaluable in exploring various texts. These tools excel at maintaining the essence of the original content while allowing me to grasp the crucial points effortlessly. This capability enhances my understanding and enriches my writing, as I can draw from various ideas and perspectives in multiple languages.
After reviewing the latest weekly statistics from the platform, it has become evident that there has been a notable upswing in the number of English-speaking readers engaging with the blog. In light of this trend, I have decided to enrich the content offerings with more posts in English, ensuring that we effectively cater to this expanding audience.
While I have previously dedicated posts to Haitian Creole, and there is potential for more content in that language, it’s essential to emphasize that this isn’t an absolute requirement at this stage. My primary goal is to strike a thoughtful balance in the content, reflecting my readership’s diverse interests and preferences. This approach will help create a more inclusive experience for all.
I am genuinely pleased to engage with all of you, by answering emails and addressing any questions related to our blogs, as we continue to build our community together. Looking ahead to next year, I plan to increase my involvement and would love to hear your suggestions on specific topics you’d like me to explore or discuss. While I may not cover every suggestion I receive, I genuinely value your input and will certainly consider them.
Thank you for your consistent support—whether through sharing insights, leaving thoughtful comments, reaching out on social media, or expressing your thoughts with me. Your contributions enrich our dialogue and make this community unique.
PS: Be yourself. It cost too much to be someone else.
